Monument to 1966 earthquake victims, Tashkent.

Thought I'd play around with this picture. I like the way the features of the faces - particularly the child's - continue to stand out when the brightness is increased to burn out point. Tashkent was levelled by a strong earthquake in 1966, thousands were left homeless, but thankfully view died. The city was rebuilt by teams from around the Soviet Union and today is very green with wide roads and grand buildings.
