The three magnolias.

Still confined to barracks so today seemed a good day to try yet again to capture this blip.
The magnolia 'Soulangia' has had the most flowers ever this year since it was given to us as a gift quite a number of years ago. It has been in flower for some time and is definitely on its last fling, the frost has got to the leaves as well. When it was at its best the purple 'Susan' was barely in bud, this too is now just passing it's best but as we only planted it last year I'm very pleased with the number of flowers we've seen.
In the gap in the background is the pretty little 'Stella'. It hasn't been a mass of flower but has been flowering steadily over the last few weeks.

So there we have it - 'the three magnolias' and very pleasing they have been.
