Pole problematique

Today it was raining cats and dogs so decided go to the sports centre by car. Nothing special to blip there so was already thinking of giving up for the day. I know there is always something, but..

While waiting my friend at the court was thinking the robust design of the badminton pole and especially its base - as long as I can remember the trouble has always been the same, and here you see the correction at the sport centre I usually visit: two concrete blocks. There also is some spacer to raise the net to the height of the (new?) rules. Just guessing that new-part btw.
