What's in a Name?

Haven't posted for a few days, but I'm mostly caught up now. I've been utterly exhausted from the preparations for (and recovery from) my daughter's birthday party last Friday.

I was going to type up a long, indignant rant about work and how they repeatedly screw up peoples' correctly spelled names that I submit for photo captions (thereby making me look like the idiot when it ends up being misspelled in print), but then I remembered that they regularly misspell my name in my photo credit line. Perhaps I expect too much. I ranted to my husband and have gotten it off my chest for now.

Does anyone know, by the way, the name of this flower?
