Secret Cistern

This is a Hellenistic cistern in the fishing village of Kas. It dates to 5 BC and is still fully functional today, after over 2000 years of use. Kas is a truly a wondrous village with pieces of the ancient civilisation nestled in next to restaurants and peasant houses. This little find is tucked in behind the kitchen of a cafe.
