Washing Day

A rather sinister looking day in Almaty, but there was the brightness of some people doing their washing across the way. I do hope they remembered to take it in before the thunder and lightening!

Today has been a little funny in the office. Nobody asked me if I wanted any lunch from the supermarket, and then when I eventually got back with my own stuff - I walked to the local store, it was nice at lunchtime - they didn't speak English once. I think that is probably a little arrogant of me, but they speak English perfectly well, and I just had to sit there and eat in peace. It is the first time I have felt unwelcome in the office. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
