Weather Nose

A day at home today.

We have been saving up a few gardening tasks for a while now. So I spent the morning clearing an area of the front garden that had been taken over by weeds and wild strawberries. The tired old rose bushes there too had seen much better days. We're replacing all this with lower maintenance shrubs and stuff.

Well this was the plan, as just about lunchtime we got hit with the first of the heavy showers of the day. As a result I'm only halfway through the job. Should have it finish before the weekend is out though.

Other than the gardening we had a quick dive into town for a few messages and then caught some of the French Open tennis on TV.
