Time to come clean.

Though most of you probably guessed. It was veal I bought.

So tonight the dinner was braised veal with baby carrots and crimini mushrooms on a bed of parsnip puree. Not very popular with the kids (despite Chloe dressing for dinner) but the adults seemed to do ok.

Chris and Lizzie did haloumi salad for a starter which was excellent. For pudding it was Sam and Alex's banoffee puddings and they were fantastic.

I should add that the photo is courtesy of Sam (with my camera, I didn't cheat completely) as it took far longer to plate 8 of these than I thought.
