Cygnets

Yesterday's local paper proudly announced the arrival of signets (sic) to the swans in Pitville Park. Imagine my surprise, when instead of seeing the swans displaying their latest bling, instead they were proudly showing off their new young cygnets instead.

Both parents, and all four young, were present, fit and healthy, though this photo shows just three of them, feasting on grass under the watchful eye of their mother in the background.
