Today, unless you count a surprise visit to the neighbours to return an errant dog that had escaped into the garden, I didn?t leave the house or garden. The triple attractions of a good day of sport, keeping myself entertained on my laptop, and the joy of not having to go for a run, were too strong.

Today?s photo is from the garden - the now favourite technique of a fascinating close-up obtained by thrusting my camera at a flower, choosing the super macro setting, and hoping for the best. It never disappoints!
