D-Day

Today's post is more symbolic than creative and marks the 66th Anniversary of D-Day and the Invasion of Normandy, France.

On June 6, 1944, British, American, Canadian and Free French troops took part in the landings on Gold, Juno, Sword, Utah and Omaha Beaches.

Although their numbers are dwindling with the passage of time, the valour and sacrifice by the "Greatest Generation" ensured the lives we have led and still lead.
