Corvus corone corone

Got up at sparrow-fart this morning, to walk the transects of our kilometre square for the BTO Breeding Bird Survey. This was the second walk of the year, usually much more difficult, as the leaves are all fully out on the trees, and the little birdies are all hidden, if they're not singing.

Also difficult today as M was away overnight, much better to have two pairs of eyes and ears, and she knows the codes to record the birds by now.

The second transect starts in Rosebank Cemetery, where this Craw was kind enough to pose for me in a slightly spooky manner ;)
