FRIEND FOR COFFEE

Summer is back and lots of jobs to do.
A friend called round after we had finished shopping and this allowed us to sit outside and enjoy our coffee in the sun and put off all those jobs that need to be done.
In 3 weeks we are having an open garden for charity fund raising and frankly the garden is not at its best - the spring flowers nearly over, 2 weeks worth of weeds and uncut grass to tend to (due to holiday and bad weather) so we knew we had to get on with it while the weather is being kind. Still we sat and enjoyed, it turned out that she was putting off going to mark her reports, so we are all the same!

I wanted to take a picture of this weigela earlier in the week when it was at its best but all was wet and miserable but it now made a nice backdrop to our break.

I've done the weeding and Chris has cut the grass - too tired now to start on the house - that will have to wait till tomorrow.
