Gray seal

I spent a long day on a trip :Whale Tails and Seabird:, which was sponsored by the New england Coastal Wildlife Alliance. We travel to Stellwagon Bank National Marine Sanctuary of of Provincetown, Massachusetts. The trip raises money for the organization and focuses mainly on the bird and Cetacean life of Stellwagon.
We started off in rain, which did stop and we had initially bright, cloudy conditions. Later in the cruise fog did settle in, but not before we had spectacular whale action including, slap-feeding, bubble feeding, flipper slapping and breaches.

Bird life included Gannets, Shearwaters, Gulls and Wilson's Storm Petrels. There was even a barn swallow flying out on the ocean.

I could choose any one of a number of whale pictures, but I thought a would use today a picture that you usually do not obtain. A Grey Seal eating a dogfish, while a immature Greater black-backed gull is waiting for scraps
