Hen Pheasant

It was all too tempting tonight to reach for the potted white anemone. I really enjoy doing flowers but I made myself put it back and take a look at this morning's shots. My routine in the morning is to ever so gently slide the closed vertical blinds 6 inches along their track. This gives me a narrow view of the bird table and the front garden (which is behind the house, a funny arrangement but it means it's quiet there.) I just hope the window will be clean!

The hen pheasant was prowling about in the bushes and her calls were heard by her mate who was strutting about in the sunshine. They met very briefly and passionately behind the bird-bath and went each their own way.

It's always so tempting to blip the extravagantly coloured males, but I feel it's a day for women to show how good they can look first thing in the morning.

Hope nobody blipped me!
