Fly like a bird ...

Today's morning was like just another day ... usual start to the work day, nothing interesting about it.

The real action started in the evening when we went to the terrace for our usual evening coffee session. The weather was quite pleasant with few dark clouds around us. We could see the rains far far away. Within no minute, the magic happened. Suddenly the clouds above us opened and a beam of light came hitting down, as if somebody was sitting there and showing the torch light straight down on us. It was incredible. Everything around us at a distance was dark while a few buildings close to us were under those magical rays of light!! A moment passed and the light disappeared again.

Suddenly we were under a bunch of thick dark grey clouds. It started to drizzle. The drizzle became heavy rain for a minute and subsided in the next minute or two. Those bunch of dark clouds marched past us. Clear sky was back and we were taken aback by the scene that was in front of us. The "Setting Sun"!! the golden ball, a bit diffused due to low flying clouds. That was the least thing we expected in the whole world after seeing those bunch of dark gloomy clouds just a minute back!

As if all these were not enough, we had another surprise in store on the other side. A huge huge rainbow stretching from earth to the sky. Probably the longest one I've ever seen in my life! Though a bit faint, it was clearly visible against the dark sky backdrop. It was really hard to digest and believe the dynamic changes of nature within a span of 5-10 minutes. It was such a beautiful and mesmerizing experience!! A lovely evening to remember!!

About this photograph: When rain comes, the "kid" in us comes alive :) Today when the rain came, everyone was jumping around, they wanted to fly like a bird and feel that strong wind under their arms!! :) This was an impromptu shot taken with my mobile camera.
