Old School

Driving past the old brick buildings of this old school,I just wanted to photograph its solidarity and presence. I have added a couple of layers of the trees surrounding this builiding and blended them, as I wanted to give it some more texture and give it some sense of mystery and even menace somehow, a tangled overlay of intrigue. It must be because it is the rival school to my boys one, and the older boys are playing the "grudge match" of the season this afternoon on the grounds in front of this building. There is a lot of posturing and aggressive posing over the rivalry and lots of war like talk in the pre game preparations. But for a whim of the parents our sons could be attending this school themselves. Such is life at times. Manufactured rivalry and competition in the physche of young men. Mother's proudly dispairing on the sidelines!

Photo looks interesting in large.
