World first?

Backblip

No, your eyes do not deceive you, that really is a salad on the same plate as a scotch pie. It could well be a world first. Canadians are so weird sometimes! I ate it anyway, in the name of science. Nice enough salad, with spinach, strawberries and pecans, but just a bit odd with a pie and beans, and far from an authentic Scottish meal.

Anyway, the Big Drive was today. A bit of a wash-out sadly. We took esme's friend up north via Aberfeldy and Killin to see some countryside and hills, but they didn't see all that much for the rain and low cloud. Shame.

Killin for lunch, then back down the road to Stirling Castle, stopping very briefly for pies in Callander on the way. We left it a bit late really, but a large part of the castle was closed off for repair anyway, so did ok in the end.
