Bean pole

Well, it's Sunday and the end of a lovely, languorous few days. I've thoroughly enjoyed having a few days off of work to catch up with myself. It's been a good combination of productivity, relaxation (including football-watching!) and socialising.

We've got a maypole-type object in the back garden: a centre pole with eight strings coming off. I've planted, in an alternating pattern, runner beans and sweet peas, which should (hopefully) all climb their respective strings to the top of the maypole. This runner bean has raced ahead of all the rest.
