Falconer

This is Falcon Square, in Inverness City Centre. Named after the category B listed "Falconer Building" you can see here that now houses Laura Ashley and Pizza Express. When our shopping centre got an extention, part of it included the restoration of the abandoned neglected Falconer Building, and a courtyard area - now Falcon Square, with a custom made statue - with a unicorn (no idea why!) and Falcons on it (no prizes for guessing that's what they were huh!!).

To be honest, I'm not a great fan of the statue - I am however in how beautifully they restored the Falconer Building.

To the right of the Falconer Building is access to the train station.

This photograph was taken at 08.10am on a Monday morning. I don't think I've ever seen it empty in daylight before today!
