Time to eat

This morning we said goodbye to our family and headed north toward Ohio. Our destination for tonight is Asheville, North Carolina, and tomorrow we plan to tour the Biltmore Estate. Florida is a very long state, and the drive from Sarasota to Asheville seemed interminable. We got there after midnight, road-weary and rumpled. Outside of Knoxville, Tennessee, we stopped at the Cracker Barrel for supper. This is the only picture I took today.

Asheville seemed like a lovely city. We have put it on our list of places worthy of another, longer visit. Maybe we can come back in October when the trees are clothed in brilliant colors.
