A Walk Through Deb's Life

Classic and Cool

Today I took my first ride in the '53. When we woke up it was storming again (getting very used to this) and we decided to go out to breakfast - one of my secret favorite things to do on the weekend. Then we stopped at the home improvement store and bought an outdoor light for our back door. We got home and switched cars and drove the '53 Chevy over to a small town car show. People gave us smiles and thumbs up everywhere we went, it seemed. My Taxman was smiling an unusually sweet smile the whole time. We slowed down when we got to the car show as we looked for some direction to go to park and there was a man directing traffic and he assumed we were entering the car show so he waved us around into where all the classic cars (and tractors) were parked. My Taxman said, "I guess we're in the car show." It was very cool. We walked around, took some pictures, oohed and ahhed, and then left. Our car was not nearly as pretty as the '57 we parked behind, but it didn't matter to us.

Moved some bales of straw

Cleaned up the kitchen

Did a load of laundry

Quick trip to the grocery store for essentials (white wine)

Sushi for dinner

Early to bed

All around good day

Note: This '38 tractor was the best thing I saw all day. It even has a hand crank to get that motor going - how cool is that?
