A time for everything

Evening by the river

Friday
We decided it was about time we got away in our pop-up camper for a weekend - we've never been this late in the year before getting away camping, but things have just seemed to conspire against us this year. We have had several trips, just not in the camper. We went up north of Columbus, just west of Amish country. The main attraction this weekend was to ride the Richland B&O bike trail (converted railway). Roger went into work early this morning, so he could leave early, and we got away soon after 4pm. The small campsite was conveniently situated quite close to the interstate - not so close that you could hear it, but close enough that there wasn't much distance to drive on slower roads - and right on the bike trail, just a mile short of the southern end. It was also scenically located by the Clear Fork Creek, and our pitch was right by the water, so this is the view as we sat in our chairs overlooking the water in the beautiful evening light.
