Peeking out of the shell

Jolly Boating Weather

This is my friend TC and his father at The Henley Royal Regatta, watching a bit of the rowing from the Stewards Enclosure. John is wearing the blazer of his old school, Windsor Boys, and TC used to row for Eton Excelsior before his accident.

Stewards at Henley, is very much a land that time forgot, or at least stopped beating during Edwardian times, before the darkness of the First World War fell, which is also remembered today, July 1st as the first day of the Battle of the Somme.

TC and John have been before, but this was my first experience. Bit Odd.
