Wharf Fresh Seafood, Market & Eatery

We are back on the road once more, delivering our 19-year old daughter to college in California. The first day was an epic drive from Yakima, WA to Medford, OR. The weather did not cooperate for photography and we were pressed for time so there was no stopping for any photography along Interstates 84 or 5.

When we arrived in Medford I had great intentions of going for a bike ride and getting a shot for the day. Hunger overwhelmed me, however, and we were off to The Wharf on the recommendation of our hotel desk clerk. What a great restaurant! We wanted fresh seafood and it doesn't get much fresher than a restaurant with a seafood case on display as you walk in the door (pictured here).

The Wharf is a funky, laid back place with amazing food. We talked with the owner, Brent, after eating and he told us the place had been open about three years. He sources his seafood from all over, moving north as the season progresses. The crab we ate tonight was from British Columbia, by the end of the season he will be getting his supplies three times a week from Alaska. If you are passing through Medford, give the Wharf a visit.
