Deja Vu

I did a similar shot last year but then the sky was blue and the flowers hadn't yet come out.....but I still don't know what this shrub is called (it's maybe 8ft/2.5m high and the flower spikes are about 4inches/10cm long)....can any green-fingered blippers help me out with a name?

A day of desultory domestic drudgery for me today.....just for starters, if I don't clean out the fridge (neglected cucumber wedged at the back turned to slush, but I thought I'd spare you sight of that!) it'll pick up it's skirts and take to the hills!
