my little eye

3 weeks on...

and our little gull chick is thriving. Not suprising as he gets a wonderful, varied menu choice left in little packages in his safe hiding places; no fighting for his food, no stamping his little comedy feet (as Max Ellis perfectly described them) and bleating at his mum for food, no second hand fish&chips from his dad.

He's got feathers forming well on his wings but no tail as yet. He's got us completely sussed; he knows when we're around and now comes to call, which is NOT what we intended, and even Tripod the cat has got a bit fed up with the attention he gets. As he's now the size of a smallish dog, she's isn't tempted to carry him indoors any more.

No idea when he'll fly but I hope it's soon and that he stays safe until he's up in the air.
