Keep your eye on the ball!

Jack and Daddy practiced a little baseball today. Mind you, Jack is not the most athletic kid in the world, he's more of a 'nature lover' type of guy. He loves walking in the woods, looking for bugs and frogs, taking out his magnifying glass to inspect them and going to the library to read up on them. But Jack does have a little t-ball set that he got for his birthday last year, and every once in a while he pulls it out.

Today was the first time that Jack has tried to swing at a ball that is being thrown to him. This photo was his actual first go at it.

We showed him how to hold the bat and most importantly...KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE BALL!

Daddy threw the first pitch (a little high, I'd say!) and this is Jack just about to make contact with it...Yes, he hit the first one!!! How he did, I'll never know, beacause he obviously couldn't see it!

The ball only went about two feet in front of him, but he hit it!!! I couldn't have been any more proud!!!
