Long Beach City College Gymnasium

My wife and I spent the day helping Kelsey, our 19 year-old daughter, get organized for her new life at college. She had to find a place to live, figure out where her first class would be tomorrow, and get some rest before the start of her busy week. We visited neighborhoods where she has the possibility of a potential roommate. She will meet with them tomorrow to see the apartments and meet the owners. She decided either the Belmont Shores location or the place downtown would be great places to live.

We also visited Long Beach City College to help her get a feel for her new campus. Our car naturally was drawn to the gymnasium. It must have something to do with those many years of traveling to volleyball tournaments and searching out gyms in the early morning. The gym at LBCC was built in a mission style that cried out for something a little different than a straight color photo. A little sepia treatment in PhotoShop and my vision for this photo was realized.
