Loon

These regal brids are endangered and can frequently be seen swimming on lakes on New England. We are on a boat and saw this specimen. He cooperated for the shot and let us get quite close. Normally, these birds dive underwater when you approach, but this one did not. He just swam around gracefully and allowed me to snap away.
