RSD Photo's SoCal Life

California

I have been searching for a "typical" California photo ever since we arrived last Sunday. I didn't hold out much hope of finding one, or any photos for that matter, as we spent almost the entire day getting Kelsey situated in her new home. There was moving the many boxes up two flights of stairs, there was purchasing new furniture, there was assembling new furniture, there was cleaning, and there was the running around getting things that we forgot. Hectic is an understatement.

Imagine my surprise, when on the way to get a much deserved drink, this photo presented itself as I walked down the street. It shows the omnipresent palm tree, not one but three in an interesting pattern. It shows a representative of the many, many shiny buildings that dot the landscape. It shows a hint of the history that runs throughout the area. And it is all taken in glorious full sunshine (though we have been having unusually cloudy weather our entire stay) with a bright blue sky. If I could have somehow shown a bikini clad blonde, it would have been a perfect representation of what everyone thinks of Southern California.
