A slice of Lesley's life

Fruit Fairy

This morning we were walking to school with one of the cucumber plants the nursery kids had planted the seeds for and I have been growing in my conservatory. There were a couple of cucumbers ready to harvest and a few more in various stages of growth. We met a family who live on our road and their youngest boy admired our plant and said he wished he could have a cucumber plant. He then wished he could have a tomato plant as the snails had eaten his. It's not often I can fufil wishes* so it was a very lovely feeling to leave these gifts on his doorstep whilst he was at school.

The rest of the day has been joyously, quietly domestic. The dishwasher has done the most work in our house today dealing with the aftermath of yesterday's BBQ.

A bit of Spanish, early nights for the kids and a chilled out evening for me and C on the cards. Perfect antidote to a full-on weekend.

Hope your week's have started well
