Irish Gothic

Ben, taken in the backyard of the house in Ireland where we are spending our summer holiday. I've been experimenting with the Hipstamatic app for the iPhone, an app which sometimes produces spectacular results, but more often than not just produces a load of pictures that you just end up deleting straight away. This was not one. And I've removed the border too to get past those pesky censors!

The kids really enjoy the freedom they have in Ireland, where the open space is in stark contrast to the confined and claustrophobic environment they have back in Holland. The rain that had been falling continuously for most of the day broke for a few minutes to allow me to take this picture. It has come out very dark and moody, despite the fact it was actually very sunny when I took it.

Hence the title.
