Lazing by the pool

The days are just getting lazier and lazier. All we did today was drive up to Bergun and sit by the side of the open-air swimming pool reading in the shade of a tree but it's so hot that no one can be bothered doing anything else. Even the flies are too hot. They just flop onto your leg and stand waiting to be killed. I'm happy to oblige. But the open air pool is freezing (so I was told) and the kids last only a few minutes in normal swimmers. Even in wet suits the water is too cold in the morning but by mid-afternoon the sun seems to have warmed it up to something more like the advertised 22C. After swimming (or just sitting reading in my case) we wandered around town and bought some souvenirs. I needed another knife. Honest. Anyway, how could you come to Switzerland and not buy a swiss army knife? A photographic non-starter of a day. Thank god everything in the house is photogenic.
