After the rain

The endless downpour came to an abrupt halt at about ten o'clock this morning and the sun finally showed its face. Suddenly stifling in my rain-proof layers, I was trying to grab a photograph or two when the monsoon returned with a vengeance. As I heard someone say the other day, it was raining cats and dogs.

Thank you to everyone who left a comment on yesterday's blip. It was pretty amazing to receive such positive feedback, especially since that was the first proper portrait I've published here. In fact, faces are few and far between in my photographs, mainly because I'm just not that sure how to capture them well. But I shall endeavour to do more in the future.
