Burial-aisle

Headed over to Shapinsay. Walked the road along past the old kirk, then down a track to Winter Noust and along to the Bay of Sandgarth. I explored some sea-caves hoping to find an eligible mermaid, but had no luck. I don't mean that I met lots of ineligible mermaids, I mean that I met none at all.

Still, a very nice stretch of coast, especially in the glorious morning sunshine. I walked by Dead Wife's Geo and Cumlins of Maovi as far as The Dochins.

Later it clouded over a little. I used a chambered cairn and standing stone called Mor Stein to navigate to the Fustigarth road, and back to Balfour.
