aftermath of battle

A wrapped-up man lowers his camcorder following the (eventual) destruction of Allermuir and Caerketton Courts in Oxgangs. As I was not alone I had to get the bus there and watch from Braidburn Valley Park where the distance was a little too great to get nice crispyshots. It was entertaining enough despite the 45-minute delay and I managed to get one half-decent shot although I bow my head in awe to photopath's excellent series on Flickr.
As LRT were celebrating the closure of Oxgangs Avenue by buggering about with the #5 service we walked back to Morningside Road to get the return omnibus. There was a brief moment of terror when I though I might have broken Rodti's youngest Donnie's head on a bus stop roof when lifting him onto my shoulders but he was luckily uninjured.
A bit later I trundled down to the Omnicentre to see Casino Royale ("What's this, M?" "It's a brief moment of exposition, double-0 seven...") then trundled back through Calton Road where it's looking increasingly like they're going to attempt to clean the underside of the bridge/tunnel supporting Waterloo Place using a large amount of scaffolding. Also attempted to blip a Cyclicst's Nightmare (the proper collective noun) of taxis lurking in the rank in Waverley but didn't like the colours and wished I'd caught it a second or so earlier when a car was driving past.

Monday tomorrow. Mildly annoying but hopefully slightly mitigated by the potential booking of a holiday at the end of January within it. Still, every morning has a coffee and a muffin. Every day has an end. Every week has a weekend. Anyway, my 53 hours are now up. Nighty-night.
