Today's the day ................... for a bit of pest control

Spent an hour or so in the garden this afternoon, cutting the grass and doing a bit of tidying up ........... and it wasn't long before I had a companion or three.

Mrs Blackbird didn't seem to be bothered by me at all and just got on with a bit of slug demolition. How kind, I thought - much better that her two (almost fully grown) chicks should have a nice tea, than the aforementioned slug should go on the rampage in my flower garden tonight!
