A Little Piece of Paradise

We were up and off early this morning to get an 8am ferry from Toulon to Corsica. It was a huge ferry and the trip lasted 6 hours. Once we got on, we found some comfy seats and all slept for about 2 hours!! We had a nice lunch and finally arrived at about 2pm.

Corsica is absolutely beautiful! It's so unspoilt and uncommercialised. Very mounntainous too which I didn't expect.

The ferry docked in Ajaccio and our villa was only a few miles out of the town. We found it fairly easily and were shown around by an elderly chap who was still cleaning up after the last group.

The villa is huge - it's actually 2 villas in one! There are 2 floors and they are actually independent apartments but are rented out together. There are 7 of us on this leg of the trip - myself, Derek, Ilona and Andy plus John & Carolyn and Derek's brother, Neal. There are 2 double rooms, 2 twin rooms and a single room so the couples all got double rooms and me, Andy & Neal got our own rooms - ideal!

My blip shows the view from the balcony outside my room - lovely!

We had a splendid evening - bbq and beer!!!
