Morning walk

It's morning. A tiny heap of coffee rests at the bottom of the mug. Above, pale translucent crystals of sugar gradually drown as tiny, measured drops seep into them. One by one, those little whites turn dark. They are alive. Reminds me of Juliette Binoche dipping her sugar-cube into a cup of espresso and watching the dark liquid climb, slow but sure-footed, swallowing up the white.

Today has been a slow friday. That began with this very quick single early morning shot. It's been such a long time since those long weekend morning rides. There's one scheduled for tomorrow and the weather's fine. I hope I can make it.
