Memories...

She was not a hoarder!

Joan McKemmie

In fact, clearing up after her 95 years has been a cinch.

So you have to stop and ask, when you come across a little plastic bag with a small number of items tucked away in a desk - "Why these?"

She was a prefect when she boarded at Ruthin School in Wales. Preparing for the Second World War she did a lot of training with the St John's Ambulance Brigade; then she joined the RAF (uniform button). And at some point in time she thought that a little knife and can opener was precious enough to put away! With a few quite good wartime poems she wrote, that's about it!

How fascinating! What would my little plastic bag contain? Could I be as frugal with my mementoes as she was?

And yours?
