Stalk of wheat

My eyes are certainly much more open to changes in my surroundings now that I do a daily photo blog. In May this year I marvelled as many of the fields around on my daily commute were resplendent in oilseed rape. Now, the same fields are stretching into the distance and full of wheat. I'd love to take a photo of the wheat basking in the sun, but if I wait for a glorious sunny evening the fields could have been harvested by then!
