Summer fruit

I have lived in North Carolina for almost 30 years. Almost every year during the first two weeks of August, I have enjoyed the fresh fruit that grows here. My favorite is figs. For the first time, this year have my own fig tree. Here is its first fruit. It is just what figs should be, luscious, watery and sweet.
