Lynn' garden gate

This weekend we put the final touches on a garden gate. The design of the gate was largely dictated by strength requirements for the structure. Within those constraints Lynn came up with a handsome design. The prettiness of the form is nice., but, to me, the fact that the gate now allows us to get into and out of our garden space easily (without bashing our heads) trumps everything.

This gate was talked about for 6 years (at least) and was actually in process over the last month or so. Here in North Carolina, we appreciate the dangers of "going too fast". But here it is, and I am a happy camper.
