Day is Done!

After the non-stop, overly-busy day that was yesterday, I was looking forward to a slightly slower pace today. Ha! Dream on, Magee! What was I thinking? If anything, today's pace was even more frenetic than yesterday's, but it was all good. The main event today was Emmy's swim meet...the last one of the year and the championship meet with (what seemed like) hundreds of teams participating. In fact, so many teams participate that the meet lasts for two days. Today Emmy took a first in the backstroke and a second in freestyle. Way to go, Em. We're proud of you!

So it has been a good day in Ohio, with sunshine, a gentle breeze, low humidity, and temperatures somewhere south of 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Now it is time to head to bed. Gulliver is already resting on the floor by my feet, hoping I will soon turn off the computer and call it a day. So as we used to sing in Scouts:

Day is done.
Gone the sun.
From the lakes, from the hills, from the sky.
All is well, Safely rest.
God is nigh.

'Night Blippers.
