Disappearing Les Corts

This old glass factory must have been quite a sight in its day. Lots of art nouveau or deco emblems and openings, standing proud among the open fields and piggeries of Les Corts when built in the early years of last century. I walked past it today to find that after years of standing as a ruin, it is already half-demolished and I think this entrance way will fall tomorrow. I had only my iPhone to grab the shot under blazing sunshine making it nearly impossible to see what I was shooting: you may wonder why all the fuss...well, it is a vanishing piece of the historic barrio (see the future through the gate), but it also has a personal significance as our home was originally built to house one of the managers of the factory. It's still standing, thank goodness!

PS
Thanks indeed for the kind comments on the torero shot yesterday...sometimes you get something in the can that makes it all worthwhile!
