Raindrops on Water

The first half of the day was darkly overcast, but warm. So warm that I was happy to be without a coat when the rain started. The only reason I went for shelter was to protect my camera. I love winter days like this.

The trees are leaning because they are exposed to nor'westers funnelled down the Waimakariri Gorge. The same nor'westers that marooned more than a thousand people on one of the local skifields last night. They all got off safely this morning.
