Look into my eyes

This is Chris Close, or at least what most people see of him. Last year and this year he's been taking striking pictures of authors at the Book Festival and getting them printed and hung the next day. Google him, they're very interesting.

It's a whirlwind around Charlotte Square. Staff, authors and punters - not to mention sponsors coming to posh-looking parties - all busying themselves and making the place look fabulous. I would merrily split myself into three in order to cover all the photogenic occurances around the site.

But even more, I'd merrily get a lot of sleep...
