Louise - Changing Natures

Lights, camera, action...!

Ever have one of those days where you REALLY feel like you are REALLY doing your job - what business-guru-types might call being "in the zone"? Well, that was my day today...so a good one...

At teatime I attended a lecture and then reception at the Festival of Politics, staged by the Carnegie UK Trust, entitled "Is peace worth fighting for." It got off to a flying start - literally - as one of the speakers, Sir Malcolm Rifkind, tripped and fell pretty much the full length of himself as he walked to the platform. He was ok though - leapt up like a young 'un and laughed it off as an SNP booby-trap for Tories in the Scottish Parliament, but I'd be surprised if he didn't have a cracking bruise developing nicely tonight. Ouch.

Interesting debate - basically boiling down to when is war justified - and as ever with these things, came to an end just as it was hotting up with audience questions. This pic is of the light rack in the Parliament main chamber.

The reception was good too, in that I unexpectedly met someone who knows someone I know, and we had a really brilliant conversation about all things eco-psychology, which left me buzzing with ideas and thoughts!
