Beginnings of Autumn

We've had a really late autumn this year. With the exception of a few cold days last week, the weather has been surprisingly warm. Today felt more like summer than autumn.

The colors are late this year as well. This is one of the few colorful leaves I found. Most of the leaves are still green. Just to give you an idea, this picture was only taken two days ago.

Yesterday it occurred to me that this will probably be my last autumn in the northeastern corner of the USA (an area known for its beautiful fall colors). I actually felt a little sad. Autumn is my favorite season here. I will have to document it well with my camera while I'm still here.
